‘My name’s Josie... and I have a penis’

Age 8 and Wanting a Sex Change took an unusually empathic look at ‘gender dysphoria’ amongst children.

  1. You wrote (about Josie in 'Age 8 and wanting a sex change' comments): "As the programme
reminded us, for most children (alas, we weren’t told what percentage)
gender dysphoria passes away with puberty, and the desire to change
    sex dissipates. "
Have a look at table 2 on this page:

  2. Quite liked your review of Age 8 and wanting a sex change.

I think kids know their gender from about 2 or 3 years of age, if not even earlier.

The trouble with a 'sex change'/'gender change' is that it can be all about the parents, not the child.
